As we age, our skin starts to loose its natural hydration, volume, and elasticity, all of which promotes a youthful, and healthy-looking appearance. Injectable Fillers are used to reestablish volume and recreate contours on the face where they have disappeared over time. As a result Fillers can result in a younger, refreshed, and revitalized appearance. All Fillers used at Kate Nicole: Precision Medicine, will consist exclusively of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally already present in the human body. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan which is a long unbranched chain of repeating sugar units. They are highly polar and attract water. They are therefore useful to the body as a lubricant or shock absorber. HA is distributed widely throughout connective tissue, epithelial, and neural tissues. HA is also a major component of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair. HA is a common ingredient in skin-care products like Prollenium, a dermal filler. When HA gel is injected, it acts to support facial structures and tissue that may have lost volume or elasticity due to normal aging. It also draws water to the skin surface to keep it looking soft and youthful.
When injected, your body does not consider them as foreign components therefore have a very good safety profile. Kate Nicole: Precision Medicine uses only the best hyaluronic products available in Canada. Fillers help redefine facial contours, replace lost volume, and restore a more youthful and natural appearance. Hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers are: a safe, naturally-occurring sugar which is already created by our bodies. Hyaluronic acid is found throughout our bodies in connective and neural tissues in places in areas such as our joints and eyes. Injectable fillers with hyaluronic acid metabolize naturally over time. Dermal filler is safe to use with all skin types and is popular for both men and women.
HA is injected using fine needles to sculpt the face by creating a lifting effect while softening prominent creases like the nasolabial folds.
During consultation, you will be able to explain areas of concerns. Together, we will review available options and limitations and then create a treatment plan. After consultation, a topical local anesthetic is applied for a period of 20-30 minutes, then removed. Subsequently, the treatment area is cleansed with an antiseptic solution. HA is then injected using very fine needles. The topical local anesthetic will not provide complete total numbness, but enough coverage to make the treatment more comfortable. For lip augmentation, ice is also used for a deeper level of numbness. Patients are monitored thereafter and given discharge instructions.
At Kate Nicole: Precision Medicine, the goal is to create a more youthful, refreshed, natural appearance.
